Huntley High School Principal Scott Rowe discusses the school’s pioneering ALPHA Courses Blended Learning program.
Through the program, the school offers some 40 classes combining face-to-face and online work, spanning the entire curriculum from math to PE.
Research has shown students feel the classes require of them more accountability, and better help them manage time and get work done. In addition, the courses correspond with higher achievement on both in class and standardized assessments.
Its successes have been documented by CNN.com, Parenting Magazine, and a host of other national, research, and trade publications.
